Ingredients

For 1:7 Ratio (Stronger)

  • 1 part coarsely ground coffee
  • 7 parts cold filtered water

For 1:8 Ratio (Standard)

  • 1 part coarsely ground coffee
  • 8 parts cold filtered water

Instructions

  1. Grind coffee beans to coarse consistency
  2. Combine ground coffee and cold water according to chosen ratio
  3. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated
  4. Cover container and steep for 18 hours at room temperature
  5. Strain through coffee filter or fine mesh strainer
  6. Store concentrate in refrigerator

Notes

  • Use coarse ground coffee for best results
  • Can be stored in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
  • Dilute with water, milk, or ice to taste when serving
  • 1:7 ratio makes a stronger concentrate
  • 1:8 ratio is standard for most uses
  • Can be served hot or cold
