Gold Rush Cocktail
A modern classic cocktail created at Milk & Honey in New York during the mid-2000s, featuring bourbon, honey, and lemon juice.

Ingredients
- 60ml bourbon (preferably high-proof)
- 22.5ml fresh lemon juice
- 22.5ml honey syrup*
*For honey syrup:
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup water

Prepare honey syrup (if needed):
- Combine honey and water in a small saucepan
- Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until honey dissolves
- Cool before using
- Store in sealed container in refrigerator for up to 5 days

Make cocktail:
- Fill cocktail shaker with ice
- Add bourbon, lemon juice, and honey syrup
- Shake well until chilled
- Strain into an ice-filled double old-fashioned glass
