Mimosa

A classic brunch cocktail combining champagne and orange juice, optionally enhanced with a splash of triple sec.

Ingredients

  • Equal parts chilled champagne and orange juice
  • Splash of triple sec (optional)
  • Fresh mint or fruit for garnish
  • Frozen fruit for chilling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour equal parts champagne and orange juice into a champagne flute
  2. Add a splash of triple sec if desired
  3. Stir gently to combine
  4. Garnish with mint or fresh fruit
  5. Optionally add frozen fruit to chill

Variations

  1. Cranberry Mimosa:

    • Use cranberry juice instead of orange juice
  2. Apricot Mimosa:

    • Combine apricot nectar, pineapple nectar, orange juice and champagne
  3. Hermosa Mimosa:

    • Mix guava juice and champagne
    • Garnish with maraschino cherries

Notes

  • Use chilled ingredients for best results
  • Choose dry sparkling wine (not too sweet)
  • Fresh-squeezed orange juice preferred
  • Can use Cava or Prosecco instead of champagne
  • For large groups, can be made in punch bowl
  • Freeze fruit to use as ice cubes:
    • Raspberries
    • Blueberries
    • Strawberries
    • Mango
    • Pineapple
