Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie

A healthy and filling breakfast smoothie combining the goodness of oats with fresh strawberries and banana.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana (frozen or fresh)
  • 1/4 cup old fashioned or instant oats
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • 1 cup milk (regular, almond, rice, hemp, soy, or coconut)
  • 1/2 cup ice

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients into blender
  2. Blend for 1-2 minutes or until smooth and well combined
  3. Serve immediately for best results

Notes

  • Use frozen fruit for a thicker smoothie
  • Can adjust milk quantity for desired consistency
  • Any type of milk works well
  • Honey can be adjusted or omitted based on fruit sweetness
  • Chia seeds add extra nutrition and thickness
  • Best consumed immediately
  • Can use steel-cut oats but may need longer blending time
